Journals 9/10-9/19

DOL:

9/10--

Plant those Japanese iris bulbs next to the daffodils, Pam, if you want an attractive display next spring.

9/11--

Terry doesn't run very well, but he always enters Run For Your Life, a five-mile race held on Labor Day.

9/12 --

Neither of my parents is able to take me to the Village Theater to see Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest.

9/13--

Adriana, please set those books of Shakespeare's place on this stand; we'll be using them later in class.

9/14--

Shawn said that neither of the singers was professionally trained, but their rendition of "Marie" was stunning.

9/17--

Neither my friend nor my sister has the time to address these envelopes; maybe someone else can help.

9/18--

Rob told us that the picture has not been hung properly, and it will have to be taken down and done correctly.

9/19--

Keiko and I have to order those item: two dozen pizzas, three cases of juice, and, I suppose, enough placemats for everyone attending the festival.

JT:

9/10--Comment on the salty hamburger story.

The cop shouldn't have ate the hamburger if it was so salty. If he ate the whole burger than it really was his fault. The employee shouldn't have sold the hamburger either. It was the fault of both of them. Even though they sold the burger I think the cop over reacted.

9/11--Do you think 9/11 happened as reported or was\is there a sinister conspiracy\cover-up?

For the most part I think the story was reported correctly. There may be someone who changed their story on how they slipped through the security system because it was their fault or something. I am sure the people who stole the planes are the ones that were reported though.

9/12--Would you consider Britney Spears fat?

Britney Spears doesn't look fat in my opinion. She looks thin for having two children. A lot of people consider her fat because she use to be very skinny. Britney is starting to get older and people need to realize that and not criticize how she looks.

9/13--Do you prefer this year's "enrichment" block to last year's study hall/tutoring? Explain.
I prefer the new arrangment. This year you have a little bit of a break and time to finish you fourth block homework. You know each day what your going to do next . You dont have to do work in the new study hall class.

9/14--"Cheaters never prosper."
Cheaters may get what they want at the moment there cheating but in the long run they don't get anything out of it. They don't play by the rules so people may not like them becuase of it. Also when the cheat they don't learn how to beat the challenge infront of them.

9/17--It is better for your location to be too hot or too cold.
I think it would be better to be cold than hot. I absolutly hate being hot compared to being cold. When its cold somewhere its easy to get a cover of coat to warm yourself up.

9/18--Invent a new candy bar.
If I were to invent a new candy bar it would be an ice cream candy bar. I would be similar to a twist cone because the bottom would be a thin layer of waffle cone then on top of that it would be half vanilla and half chocolate. I think this would sell well because everyone like candybars and they all love ice cream. I would call this wonderful creation the twist bar.

9/19--Continuing with the food theme: Which McDonalds item should be premently removed from the menu?
I think the salad should be removed from the McDonalds menu. I can see since McDonalds isn't a very healthy place to eat why it's on the menu. I personally don't like salad so they should remove it. Plus you can get a salad any where you go.

You're right-- a salad at a place like McDonalds is pretty pointless.
